Call for Volunteers

This holiday season, in the spirit of giving, we're seeking volunteers to join us in our Growing for Good initiative. You will be learning and growing edible plants along with People-with-disabilities or members from underserved society such as children from low income families or special needs children.

Our goal is to empower and connect communities through the shared experience in our urban farm! At City Sprouts Growing for Good, it is a safe space where people from all backgrounds can come together to grow plants, promote self-sufficiency, and build lasting connections.

Why Volunteer?

  • Empowerment Through Agriculture: We will be teaching you and the underserved communities to grow their own food fosters self-sufficiency, reducing dependency on external assistance.
  • Building Relationships: The project fosters empathy, shared experiences, and collaboration among volunteers and the underserved groups.
  • Strengthening Communities: Diverse groups coming together builds stronger, more resilient communities.

What will you be doing?

  • Bond & Learn: Alongside with the beneficiaries participants, Volunteers receive hands-on training in planting edible greens together, which will be harvested on 9 December to make into a feast for the underserved communities and their caregivers.
  • Lending a hand & assisting: While some of the beneficiaries may not be as mobile or may not follow the steps clearly, Volunteers can help to assist alongside to make the experience smoother for them.
