Where Altitude Meets Stillness

Why Shangri-la?

Welcome to Shangri-La — a Tibetan cultural region in Yunnan, China, sitting at 3,160m above sea level, nestled in the Himalayas. It’s home to Sumtseling Monastery, over 330 years old, and the ancient Tea Horse Trail that once connected Tibet to Southeast Asia.

Here, farming isn’t a school activity — it’s a way of life. Yaks roam freely, vegetables are grown seasonally, and food is shared communally.

🧭 Distance from Shangri-La Airport: 20 mins

📍 Region: Diqing Tibetan Autonomous

From the Mountains to Our Gardens

🌱 After the trip, families are invited to:

  • Join future nature-led experiences
